Abstract

In the originally published version of this article, a sign error appeared on page 27605 in the sentence “Conversely, if d ≫ λ D, then the H+ only traverses part of the electrostatic potential drop (α > 0), leading to a decrease in rate with increasing λ D.” The correct sign is “d ≪ λ D” rather than “d ≫ λ D.” This correction does not affect the results or conclusions of the paper.
