Abstract

This work shows results of continuum kinetic simulations of magnetized sheaths, specifically effects of magnetic fields and Lorentz force directly on the electron distribution function. This work also proposes a new way of treating secondary electron emission (SEE) without the need for Monte-Carlo methods. The analytical description of the energy distribution of SEE gain is treated as a part of a reflection function and allows to directly construct the whole electron distribution function of SEE based only on the known electron distribution function at the wall.
