Abstract

Latest instruction set architecture (ISA) features invoking increasing need for pervasive secure information processing and multimedia information processing was discussed. The latest arithmetic operations useful for the processing of multimedia information were analyzed. The types of computer arithmetic, interesting forms of saturation arithmetic and their applications were also discussed. The arithmetic operations signals for innovative logic and circuit implementations of latest functional units, shifters and multipliers.
