Abstract

In this study, the role of laser profile effects upon molecular control was explored. It was found that exploitation of multiple, and possibly interfering, pathways is capable of overcoming the negative influence of the laser profile upon the quantum yield. This accommodation for the laser profile was achieved by an additional special structure in the temporal field evolution.
