Abstract

Coherent Rayleigh-Brillouin scattering (CRBS) in krypton at room temperature and moderate pressure has been studied experimentally. The experimental data is in good agreement with the theoretical lineshape developed by the authors. In this paper, we describe the details of the experiment. We also discuss the application of coherent Rayleigh-Brillouin scattering in gas diagnostics.
