Abstract

An explicit coarse projective integration method is presented that has the potential to accelerate the simulation of macroscopic phenomena using mesoscopic and microscopic/stochastic simulators. This is illustrated using a kinetic theory-based lattice Boltzmann simulator to compute the dynamics of a two-dimensional gas bubble that oscillates as it rises in a liquid.
