Abstract

The excitation cross section of the 2p-13s 1P state in the neon atom and the linear polarization fraction PL of the 2p-13s 1P →2p6 1S radiation induced by protons and antiprotons in the energy region 0.1-10 MeV have been calculated within a semiclassical coupled-channel approach. A very strong charge asymmetry effect is observed for PL.
