Abstract
A resonator design exploiting chaotic array motion was successfully used to increase output power and directionality of whispering gallery lasers. This effect was evident in quantum cascade (QC) lasers, which are based on mid-infrared intersub-band transitions. Peak output powers of ≥10 mM were measured.
