Abstract

A spheroidal microlens array is patterned on infrared transparent substrates to control the polar transmission and reflection of broadband thermal radiation. Geometric parameters and materials can be altered to tune the angular transmittance. Our design is promising for controlling thermal emissions for radiative cooling applications.
