Abstract

The principal equations of chemically reacting and electrically conducting fluid flows are discussed. The balance equations were established for homogeneous media, with or without polarisation. The expressions of fundamental quantities as the electromagnetic field and the impulse energy are given. The interfacial conservation equations of the nonpolarized media were established. In the case of polarized media, the same formalism was used to prove the Maxwell equations at the interface. These equations were examined more accurately in view of applications. The method developed is used to study thermoelectric effects in metals. (A)
