Abstract

Correction to: Nature Published online 17 May 2023 In the version of this article initially published, the experimental values of p50 in Figure 4a and Experimental Data Figure 8b were too large by a factor of two. The two figures and the sentence discussing the relevant graph intercepts in the Extended Data Figure 8b legend have been updated to reflect the correct values. In Figures 4a and 4b and Extended Data Figures 8b and 8d the units of the y-axis labels, ħk, could have been mistaken for a variable. They have therefore been changed to use the prevailing value of k for each figure, which is k0 for Figures 4a and 4b and Extended Data Figure 8b and 4k0 for Extended Data Figure 8d. Finally, in the second-to-last sentence of the paragraph beginning “In Fig. 4c, we plot…,” “prethermalization time” initially read as “prethermalization rate”. The errors have been corrected in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
