Asynchronous and packetized transmission in optical CDMA distributed sensor network

Abstract

We demonstrate asynchronous, packetized data transmission from distributed commercial sensors in an optical CDMA network. Error-free transmission is obtained and the near-far problem is reduced using all-optical signal processing with a nonlinear optical loopmirror.
