Abstract

The anisotropic fluid turbulence in the interstellar medium and solar wind was analyzed. Even in the absence of a background magnetic field, when the energy spectrum is globally anisotropic, the anisotropy was found to develop with respect to the local magnetic field. Despite the presence of local anisotropy, the Iroshnikov-Kraichnan spectrum was obtained rather than the individual Kolmogorov spectrum.
