Abstract

An Early Proterozoic phase of granulite metamorphism in the Sao Francisco craton (Brazil) has been dated at 2080 Ma by the single-zircon dating method using step-wise evaporation. This event is superposed on an earlier Archaean phase of granulite facies metamorphism at 2645 ± 10 Ma whose age is preserved from the isotopic rehomogenization related to the Transamazonian orogen. There is an abridged English version. -English summary
