A highly compact chaotic cavity for optical trace gas sensing applications

Abstract

We present a novel chaotic cavity for in-situ trace gas sensing. The multi-pass cavity achieves ~15-m optical path length in a cavity of only 68 mL volume with little beam overlap on the mirror.
