Abstract

Production rate measurements have been performed for Σ⁺ and Σ⁰ baryons produced in hadronic decays of the Z⁰. The rates are compared against those of mesons and other baryons with a hadronization temperature model. These measurements take advantage of the unique photon detection capability of the L3 Experiment. The rates are in agreement with those measured by other LEP Experiments.
